Mediaeval Barn Hall – taken down from a nearby village 25 years ago, it was re-erected by keen friends and relatives, and then acquired a woodburning stove; it started to take on a real character with the addition of stained glass windows from Westminster Abbey – some of the ones which had been put in as temporary replacements in case any of Hitler’s bombs should destroy the original, irreplaceable ones.
The High Barn Dormitory and Shower Room – sleeps 10. Situated above the Pueblo, the Dormitory has 3 sleeping shelves with very good new mattresses (with a possible further 6 folding beds in the Barn Hall by special arrangement). A small staircase leads to the Shower Room, with 2 shower cubicles 2 washbasins and 2 w.c.’s. The flue from the stove in the hall downstairs winds up through the Dormitory in French style, making the Dormitory very cosy.
